| Step | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Confirm the Local Pressing Method | Read the flooring and adhesive instructions and locate the area that needs local pressing. |
| Check the Tool and Surface | Inspect the roller face for grit, hardened adhesive, cuts and damage. |
| Make a Small Approved Trial | Use an offcut and the actual adhesive system, or an approved inconspicuous test area. |
| Establish a Stable Hand Position | Support yourself so the roller can move smoothly through the detail. |
| Roll the Target Area in a Planned Pattern | Work across the local zone with overlapping controlled passes so the full target receives contact. |
| Check Contact and the Finished Surface | Inspect the target in good light for missed strips, trapped air or surface changes. |

Press the Detail Without Hiding a Fitting Error
Check the material and adhesive method, clean the roller face and make a small approved trial. Keep full contact through controlled local passes, then inspect the result. Raised seams, contamination or the wrong adhesive stage need correction before more force is applied.
1. Confirm the Local Pressing Method
Read the flooring and adhesive instructions and locate the area that needs local pressing. Confirm that a plastic or rubber hand roller is permitted at that detail and whether the main field still needs a specified heavy roller. Record the adhesive stage and any repeat-pressing instruction. Fit the material correctly before rolling. A raised seam, trapped particle or folded edge needs correction through the flooring method before further pressure.
2. Check the Tool and Surface
Inspect the roller face for grit, hardened adhesive, cuts and damage. Check that it rotates freely and that fasteners or the axle cannot touch the finished floor or wall in the intended position. Clean the tool only by its permitted method. Inspect the material for particles, folds, poor cutting or a raised seam before applying pressure. Remove the cause where the material instructions allow. Do not roll across debris or use force to crush a fitting error into place.
3. Make a Small Approved Trial
Use an offcut and the actual adhesive system, or an approved inconspicuous test area. Hold the roller so its working face contacts the target without tilting. Check the surface before and after a controlled pass. Look for tracking, gloss changes, marks or displacement. Confirm that the adhesive stage and pressing method are correct before moving to the installation. If the trial marks the surface, stop and investigate the face, contamination and material suitability rather than simply reducing the number of passes.
4. Establish a Stable Hand Position
Support yourself so the roller can move smoothly through the detail. Keep the handle aligned with the intended contact and apply controlled pressure over the working face. Do not lever the axle or scrape the handle on the floor. At a wall, use only the reach and orientation permitted by the tool; forcing an unsuitable angle can reduce contact or bring metal parts onto the finish. Keep fingers away from trapping points and sharp edges of the installed material.
5. Roll the Target Area in a Planned Pattern
Work across the local zone with overlapping controlled passes so the full target receives contact. Follow the floor manufacturer’s prescribed direction and timing. At a doorway or perimeter, inspect how far the working face reaches and finish the remaining area with the approved method. Keep the sheet located against its fitting references while rolling. Stop if a seam begins to peak, the sheet shifts, the roller drags or the adhesive condition is no longer suitable. Pressure is not a cure for a wrong seam fit.
6. Check Contact and the Finished Surface
Inspect the target in good light for missed strips, trapped air or surface changes. Assess adhesive contact only by a method permitted by the material maker. If contact is inadequate, review the adhesive quantity, timing, substrate and material position. Do not keep adding hand force to an unexplained problem. Record the location and result of any approved repeat pressing. A locally tidy appearance is useful, but it is not a substitute for the rest of the flooring system’s installation checks.
| Selection point | What to check |
|---|---|
| Surface appearance | Inspect missed areas and marks |
| Contact assessment | Use the material-approved method |
| Cause review | Check adhesive, substrate and fit |
Field Rolling and Local Wall Contact
Forbo’s Flotex guide assigns hand rolling to areas beyond the large roller. Crain’s No. 333 shows recessed ends for wall access. Inspect the local strip while retaining the required main-field rolling method.
7. Clean, Store and Record the Option
Remove fresh residue by the tool and material manufacturers’ compatible cleaning method. Keep the roller face protected from grit during storage and transport. Record the exact roller option, working face and approved application so future orders do not rely on a photograph alone. Report a damaged face, seized axle or loose handle before further use. For repeat projects, keep the local pressing method with the material record, including the wider rolling requirement and any details that needed another approved tool.

الأسئلة المتداولة
Should I press harder when a seam peaks?
Stop and check cutting and fitting. Excessively tight seams should not be forced down with a roller.
Can I roll after the adhesive working window?
Follow the adhesive instructions. Extra pressure does not restore a missed bonding stage.
Is local hand rolling enough for the whole floor?
Only if the exact installation method explicitly permits it; otherwise retain the prescribed main-area roller.
What information do you need for a wholesale quotation?
Send the product names or models, configurations, quantities and delivery destination. You can include mixing buckets, spreaders, spiked rollers and shoes in the same enquiry. The applicable quantity tier, packing details and order conditions will be reviewed for the selected items.
Can you customize the logo or packaging?
Send your logo artwork, preferred placement, packaging requirements and estimated order quantity. ARIK will review the available options for the selected tools and confirm the sample requirements, order conditions and quotation before production.
Can I request samples before a bulk order?
Include the models and configurations you want to evaluate, the intended application and the delivery destination in your enquiry. Sample availability, cost and shipping arrangements need to be confirmed for the selected items before an order is placed.
