Description
Nozzle selection for the welding task
Choose the nozzle by outlet shape, working position and its actual connection to the welding gun. Outlet dimensions describe the nozzle; they do not by themselves establish gun compatibility or the correct welding-rod size.
| What matters on site | Practical value |
|---|---|
| Match the outlet geometry | Compare flat, round, angled or guided outlets with the required heat and access path. |
| Confirm the connection | Check the gun outlet, adapter and fixing arrangement against the actual parts. |
| Validate the weld setup | Test heat, airflow and hand feed on the named material before working on the installed seam. |

Selection and use
| Step | What to check |
|---|---|
| Identify the gun and joint | Provide the gun outlet and the working material or seam. |
| Check the fit | Fit only the correct nozzle or adapter with the tool safely cooled. |
| Trial the process | Confirm heat distribution and the resulting weld before production use. |
