Description
Corner weld trimming with the correct head
Compare V-, T- and O-type trimming layouts by the real corner geometry and the required edge contact. A head letter identifies a configuration; it does not by itself guarantee suitability for every inside or outside corner.
| What matters on site | Practical value |
|---|---|
| Check access at the corner | Compare the actual joint shape with the blade and tool body. |
| Confirm the cutting geometry | Choose by the edge contact needed for the weld and surrounding material. |
| Trial before visible work | Validate the tool on a matching joint before finishing the installed flooring. |

VTO Inside/Outside Corner Trimming Heads
| Configuration | Dimensions and construction |
|---|---|
| V type YYDV | Product Structure: Pictured pointed-head outline. Materials and transitions: Do not assign V exclusively to inside corners or particular materials. |
| T type YYDT | Product Structure: Pictured broader angular head; T is the model name. Materials and transitions: Do not assign T exclusively to outside corners or large-area hard materials. |
| O type YYDO | Product Structure: Pictured smaller ring head. Materials and transitions: Do not assign O exclusively to soft materials or arbitrary curvature. |
| Configuration | Application and value | Selection checks |
|---|---|---|
| V type YYDV | Pointed trial-trimming option for narrowing spaces and corner residue. Pointed contact differing from ring and broader heads. | A pointed shape alone cannot guarantee precision or undamaged adjacent surfaces. Trial trim the same flooring, rod, transition, and trimming stage. |
| T type YYDT | Trial-trimming option for broader residue contact surfaces and transitions. Alternative transition contact layout. | Edge unmeasured; broad appearance does not establish efficiency or working width. Record residue removal, adjacent surfaces, and profile under identical conditions. |
| O type YYDO | Ring trial-trimming option for small residue areas, transitions, or near curves. Local ring-contact option. | Ring diameter unrecorded; do not select rod from 17mm overall width. Use identical conditions; do not rank by unknown materials. |

Selection and use
| Step | What to check |
|---|---|
| Identify the corner | Provide the joint shape, weld position and flooring material. |
| Confirm the head | Check the selected head, blade and fastening. |
| Make a trial trim | Inspect the finished weld and adjacent surface before continuing. |

Frequently asked questions
Is 17mm the O-ring diameter?
No. The table states product width; measure the ring separately.
Does a ring head prevent scratches?
Not guaranteed. Edge, angle, and force still affect the flooring surface.
Is O only for soft flooring?
Existing information does not establish that task allocation; trial trim the target material.
Are Leister or Wolff round heads interchangeable?
Shape and ring diameter alone are insufficient. Check interface, edge, projection, and part number.
